Diabetes is
a complicated disease. And thus who expected camels to come up with a solution?
Well it is
true that camels have managed to do what we humans have been trying to for a
while now – find a potential cure for diabetes.
It has been
shown that camel milk contains high amounts of insulin. In the long run, this
means no taking medicine but drinking milk and living a happy life.
Through
analysis of the camel milk, it became fairly clear why it has such incredible
preventative potential. According to the researchers, camel milk contains 52
units of insulin per litre, which is more than 60% of the average necessary
external insulin administration for type 1 diabetics.
So that
means I have to drink weird milk? Well from personal experience, camel milk
actually tastes better than cow milk!
So, as a
potential cure for diabetes, camel milk is undergoing a lot of research.
